Let’s Get Copter Back on His Paws—Together

Today, I want to introduce you to Copter.

Copter is a 6-month-old Pit/Lab mix we recently welcomed from one of our local impound partners. While the circumstances of his surrender are unclear, what we do know is that this little guy has already captured hearts with his sweet nature, joyful spirit, and unwavering love for his people.

But now, Copter needs us.

Copter has been diagnosed with a Tibial Tuberosity Avulsion Fracture—a painful condition that requires surgical repair. His surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and his current estimate stands at $4,490.61, with costs expected to rise due to the intensive aftercare he’ll need: four weeks of strict activity restriction followed by roughly eight weeks of rehab and strengthening before he can run, play, and be a puppy again.

His foster says it best:
“When his hazel eyes, so full of love, look up at you—it feels like you’re the only person in the world. His entire body vibrates with love and joy for life. He wants to be with his pack. With isn’t close enough—he wants to be as close as he can get! He LOVES toys and anyone who’ll give him attention. You’d never know his leg is broken.”
