We have a 3-month-old pup who could really use a hero right now.
Here’s the backstory:
Meg, our Intake Manager, was at a local impound meeting with dogs when a city worker - who assists within the Unhoused Community - carried in a large puppy surrendered by someone in the community. While the team was performing his intake exam, they noticed he was dehydrated and lethargic, especially for such a young pup. A Parvo test was done - and it came back positive.
What happened next was a beautiful example of how quickly our team comes together:
Meg immediately contacted one of our fosters, Justina, who has experience with Parvo puppies.
Our vet clinic was looped in to confirm we had the monoclonal antibody treatment available.
Within five minutes, everyone jumped into action. Justina coordinated a pickup and is bringing him directly to our clinic for treatment prior to being welcomed into her home for round-the-clock care.
