Domino’s journey began on the streets of Houston, Texas, where he and his siblings were rescued and given a second chance through Ruff Start Rescue’s Lone Star to North Star program. At just 16 weeks old, this playful, affectionate pup made the long trip to Minnesota, ready to start his new life.

But soon after arriving, it became clear something wasn’t right. An exam and x-rays revealed a chronic, unrepairable fracture in his back leg - leaving amputation as the best path forward for a pain-free future.
