**Ruff Start Rescue is based in Princeton and serves the entire state. They provide refuge to at-risk companion animals and ensure they receive routine and urgent veterinary care. The organization rescues dogs, cats, and critters from local impounds, owner surrenders, high-kill shelters throughout the US, and help with local hoarding and puppy mill situations. These animals are placed in loving volunteer foster homes all over the state of Minnesota, where they are cared for until they find their forever adoptive families. Animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and receive all necessary vetting. Ruff Start has placed over 27,000 animals into loving homes since their inception in 2010.
