2027 Ruff Start Rescue Charity Team - Grandma's Marathon & Half Marathon

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based nonprofit companion animal rescue that radiates compassion and dedication. Our unwavering mission extends beyond borders, reaching communities throughout Minnesota and the southern states plagued by stray pet overpopulation. We fearlessly rescue the voiceless victims of neglect, abandonment, and despair—dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and many other critters. Our tireless efforts are propelled by volunteers, fosters, and supporters who unite as a force of unwavering love, saving thousands of lives. Since its inception in 2010, Ruff Start has saved over 33,000 lives!

Ruff Start Rescue exists because of the incredible generosity of our supporters. Donations support the care of animals in rescue by providing the medical care and supplies they need. Donations from animal lovers like you make our lifesaving work possible, and we sincerely appreciate your support!
