I have tried to run Twin Cities Marathon two other times in the past, but was unable to do so both times! In 2023, TCM was going to be my first marathon but it was cancelled on race day due to extreme heat. In 2024 I signed up again, but was unable to run due to an injury. This is the year I'm going to do Twin Cities Marathon! I thought it would make it more meaningful if I took the opportunity to raise funds for a charity. Ruff Start Rescue regularly pulls animals from Minneapolis Animal Care and Control and gives them the change to become loving family pets. Oftentimes, these are animals that are declining in the shelter environment and are have been given a euthanasia deadline. I'm grateful for Ruff Start's commitment to helping these animals when they need it most and I'm excited to support them through their charity runner program.
