I’m so excited to share that I’ll be running my very first marathon—the 2026 Twin Cities Marathon! This goal has been on my heart for a long time, and it feels even more meaningful because I’m dedicating this race to something I care deeply about: animal welfare. As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve devoted my personal time throughout the years to volunteering with shelters and rescues, and I’ve seen firsthand how much love, care, and second chances can change an animal’s life. This year, I’m proud to be running in support of Ruff Start Rescue, an incredible nonprofit based in Minnesota that gives a voice to animals in need—rescuing dogs, cats, and other small animals from neglect, abandonment, and difficult circumstances, and helping them find safe, loving homes. Training for a marathon is a big challenge, but knowing it can make a real impact makes every mile worth it.
