Hello Family & Friends! 🐾 As some of you know, I ran my first marathon this October and fell in love with the sport! Now, I’m gearing up for my second marathon next summer at Grandma's Marathon—and since running 26.2 miles just for fun would be CRAZY, I’ve decided to dedicate this race to one of my family’s favorite non-profits, Ruff Start Rescue. Ruff Start is a foster-based animal rescue that has saved over 27,000 furry lives. My mom and I used to volunteer for the organization, and my parents have adopted 3 dogs through Ruff Start since 2020 (S/O to Molly, Ripp, and Phoebe) while also fostering a few pups along the way. My sister rescued two adorable kittens, Suki & Sushi, last year, and I rescued two guinea pigs, Zeb and Fred, four years ago. Without Ruff Start Rescue, we would never have had the chance to give these animals a forever home. My goal is to raise $500 for Ruff Start Rescue before the race. Every dollar will help them rescue more animals, provide medical care, and find loving homes for furry friends in need. Thank you so much for your generosity and support! XOXO Alyssa
