A Message From Quinlan Riffenburg
My name is Quinlan Riffenburg. I just recently started running again after a long time of being inactive. I have always been a huge animal lover. My family has always had at least a cat growing up, and I used to be terrified of dogs until I came home from school one day to a new rescue from someone my parents knew. I ended up falling in love with that doggo.
Now current day, my wife and I have rescued 3 cats, 1, puppy, and we just volunteered to foster-to-adopt another puppy that needed a good home from Texas. We’ve always been believers of “adopt, don’t shop.” Our fur family is Kallie, our oldest cat. Benjamin, our second cat. Harvey, our third cat that we got together when we first got our own place to live. Dex, our first puppy that we got after our first home purchase. And we now have Finn, who we fostered first to adopt.
Both puppies have come from Ruff Start. This organization has meant so much to me and our family now, in helping us find two perfect puppies to rescue and give the most loving home to. Now, I want to raise some money for them and run 2026’s Grandma’s Marathon.
I just ran my first half marathon on Oct. 18th, which is also the day we brought back our baby Finn. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had and I’ve had aspirations to run at Grandma’s now since I started training for the half.
