This June, I’ll be running the Grandma’s Half Marathon in my hometown of Duluth, to raise funds for Ruff Start Rescue- an organization and mission that is near and dear to my heart. After completing my first full marathon last year, I’m excited to take on the half this time around- with my best running partner, Buddy, by my side for training miles. Anyone who knows me knows that rescuing Buddy changed my life and sparked my passion for helping other animals in need. He’s a daily reminder of why I care so deeply about the work Ruff Start does- giving thousands of animals each year the same chance Buddy got: a safe, loving home. As Advancement Director at Ruff Start Rescue, I have the privilege to see firsthand how every dollar truly makes a difference.
