Grandma’s Half Marathon in Duluth has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve had the privilege of running it twice before, and no matter how many races I do, I always find myself coming back to this one. The scenic views along Lake Superior and the energy of the course make it my favorite race of all time. In 2026, I’ll be running Grandma’s Half again — this time in support of Ruff Start Rescue (RSR) to help raise money for their incredible organization. Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue that helps animals who are neglected, abandoned, and in need of a forever home. I chose Ruff Start Rescue because I’ve always loved animals and believe that every pet deserves a safe and loving home. I also work for Carlson Pet Products, a brand that proudly partners with organizations dedicated to helping animals in need — so this cause is especially meaningful to me. Every donation helps provide foster care, medical attention, and supplies for rescued animals as they wait for their forever homes. These pets receive vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, microchips, parasite preventatives, and testing for common illnesses — all thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported me on this journey and for standing behind Ruff Start Rescue’s mission. Thank you for helping make a difference — one step (and one paw) at a time. 🐾💙
